City Board and Commission Vacancies
The City's Board and Commissions are charged with important work that can heavily impact residents. It is important that applications are made based on a genuine desire to serve the residents and help make the City a better place to live.
City Boards and Commissions include: Park Commission, Utility Commission, Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Adjustment. Some of the boards and commissions are very technical and require members to be able to read and/or interpret regulations, laws, building and site plans. In every case, candidates must be able to function as a group in an open meeting forum while demonstrating respect for the citizens who attend meetings.
To be qualified to apply for a Board or Commission, you must be a registered voter who has been a Texas State resident for one year and a City resident for 6-months.
