The City of Rollingwood Lowering Flags to Half-Staff in Honor of Joe A. Munoz, Jr.

July 28, 2020 (Rollingwood, TX) – Mayor Michael R. Dyson announced that he is directing U.S. and State of Texas flags to be lowered to half-staff at the Rollingwood Municipal Complex today, Tuesday, July 28, in recognition and mourning of the loss of Joe A. Munoz, Jr. The flags will remain lowered throughout the day.

“Unfortunately, due to global pandemic that has impacted the lives of so many families, friends, and loved ones, we are unable to fully honor Mr. Munoz and his service to our country by giving him the proper military honors that he rightly deserves,” Mayor Dyson said. “This is the way that we will honor and thank him for all he has done for our nation.”

“The Rollingwood Police Department and the community that we serve is thinking of Assistant Chief Pompa and her family during this incredibly difficult time,” Police Chief Jason Brady said. “We are grateful for the sacrifices that Mr. Munoz made and our prayers and sympathies are with them.”
