Utility Commission


The Utility Commission serves in the capacity of a citizens' advisory committee to the City Council regarding matters of utility procedure and policy.  The commission will recommend and offer counsel to the City Council about decisions regarding utility rates, services and franchise agreements, and will promote the utility's programs and services in the Rollingwood community.   


Meetings

Regular meetings of the Utility Commission are held the first Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the City’s Council chambers.


Membership

The Utility Commission consists of seven regular members who are residents of the City.  Each member of the Commission shall serve a two-year term, commencing on January 1 and ending December 31 of the following year.

Selection Process

Nominations to boards and commissions, unless otherwise provided by the Charter or the Code of Ordinances, shall be made by the Council members. The City Council shall confirm nominations for appointment to the board or commission in order for an appointment to be effective.
